Coburn Tries to Offset Expense of Unemployed

So, we are heading to China...and we are requesting to borrow MORE money so we can tell lazy bums "it's ok to sit on the couch!"

Coburn tried to compromise with cuts to other programs and got shot down 52-47. How does the "tax cut bill" pass 81-19 and Coburn is left hanging on an amendment that supports what people are saying out here? Only needed SIX more votes on Coburn's Amendment for it to have passed!

The above cartoon speaks loudly. Sorry for the poor quality....maybe we should get used to poor mindset - the government is sending us there quickly.

Sputnik or Not!

Today, in North Carolina, Hussein Obama conceals true motives. In
short, Obama calls for decision on tax cuts. He even says that further
taxing middle income would stall the recovery and possibly be
detrimental.

Here's the problem, while his words are correct: 1). We know he
doesn't believe in tax cuts; 2). They need more tax base to provide
for ever growing entitlements; 3). Entitlements strengthen the liberal
base; 4). He shows true colors in that "permanent cuts" are not likely.

He has this thought right: America needs to rise to the occasion.
Whether one references Sputnik, Pearl Harbor, great depression, 9/11
or the like....Americans will rise. I'm just not sure he will like
the rise.

In reading a biography on George Washington, young America was pressed
by England.....farmers became fighters. It was tax without
representation. Congress and senate should have heard the American
people loud and clear 10/2/10! Yet, the leaving House keeps Queen
Pelosi as minority speaker (rather than allowing new congress vote on
leader). Both houses seem slow to listen though, which is
disappointing.

We are the people and country that effects change all around us. When
there us catastrophe we are there. Liberty in peril, we are often
there. Need...we supply.

This all happens because of American ingenuity and excellence.
Bolstered by the liberty to perform to one's highest potential. BUT
Obama veils his real self today - the self that has been visible to
this point. Consider his continued desire for moratorium on drilling; the
prohibition of drilling in the ANWR; the tougher restrictions ("security") to
fly; fairness doctrine; vice pres. saying that rich should be
"patriotic" and pay more; rich is defined as $250,000 or more (VP is a taxer too); his continued reference to "redistribution of wealth."

Do not be fooled. Obama is not for true American values. His "dream"
is not the "American Dream." He is trying to rally swaying liberals
around him. Re-attract. Reorganize. Re-motivate. All words...the real
proof is in the puddin'!

Use My Money & Buy a Car!

Well it isn't yesterday, but here's my follow-up blog to Monday's tweet as a result of listening to RUSH on the radio jabbing the electric car. Allow me to start with... "I'm really not against these cars." I'm not against "Smart" cars (even if their name is a total oxymoron in every sense but consumption) or hybrids either. Heck, I'd love to see a Delorean with a blender on it too! But I am also a realist...

What I am against... "I am aggressively against being told that I am "dumb" because I don't drive a "Smart" car.....I'm against the notion that electric Hondas make more economical sense and environmental care than my Suburban (which I find impressively gets 17.8mpg avg and has for the two years I've owned it; on the hwy, I get 28+). AND I am totally against being told what I should drive!"

While I am up here on my soap box, let's say I feel compelled to have any one of these vehicles. Which one will fully accomodate a family of five, often shuttling kid buddies around with all their stuff (ie. baseball bags, dance bags, school bags, paintball gear/bags)?? As I note below, the cost of Electric cars are $$30-40+ THOUSAND DOLLARS! My loaded (though not top-o-the line) Suburban was on the low side of that window after dealing! Really? I'd be out of my mind stupid to buy an electric, less than 4-banger, barely 5-seater, PC "vehicle." But...let's consider the electric car:

The following was gleaned from RUSH's site, in which he quoted ABCNews.com: "Electric cars are powered by batteries that are charged by plugging them into a standard wall socket or a more powerful charging station. The charging station will cut your charging time roughly in half, and reduce the chance you'll trip a circuit in your home. But it will likely cost $2,000 or more, including installation. The price will rise if you need a new electrical panel, which could add another $2,000. The main thing to consider is how you are going to use your electric car. If your commute is short, or there's a charging station near your office, you might not need much of a charge at home. " (italics/bold added)

Let's just hold it right there. We are going to get to "how far can one drive on a charge?" here in a minute. How often do you think about how you are going to use your current gas-hog enviro-damaging four-wheel menace? Other than, "can I squeeze five more miles out of this "empty" tank?"....you probably don't think much about it. When I read a sentence like the one above, I beginning seeing myself mapping out everything because of a charge, and how long to re-charge. BUT IT GETS BETTER...

(ABC:) "A standard 120-volt wall socket will give a car about five miles of driving for every hour of charging. That means if you had a 40 mile round-trip commute you'd be able to charge in 8 hours." Chevy's FAQs site says most electric cars a 25 to 50-mile-per-charge distance, depending of course on many elements, and then it's eight hours to charge it to do that. Now, for kicks, you simply have to click on this link - here you can chuckle at the requirements of discomfort and speed control in order to achieve the maximum miles in a Nissan Leaf! Forget the AC. Leave early to drive slower. Don't dare exceed 38mph & forget 70mph speeds! Violate these rules....well, they don't say, but I am sure it is less than 70 mpg!

(ABC:) "If you deplete your battery all the way most days (at a 25-40 mile range, who wouldn't?), a charging station that is connected to a 240-volt socket, like ones used for most electric dryers, could be worthwhile. The $41,000 Chevrolet Volt and the $33,000 Nissan Leaf are set to go on sale next month. Buyers qualify for a federal tax credit of $7,500," because they have to be paid to buy these cars, and additional and local state subsidies in some cases might apply.

Just taking my daughters to dance, dropping them off and picking them up afterwards is 16 miles. School and back is 48miles. IF (which you will), you use the battery, the generator kicks in and you run on gas. Chevy has a 9.3 gallon tank that gets up to 344 mile on the tank or 37mpg. Hmm...expensive car for 40 miles of no emissions every eight hours of charge!

And what about that battery? Li-Ion batteries have huge DOT and international shipping regulations, certification requirements and costs involved. Chevy batteries are produced in Korea (cheap labor) and shipped here (thus part of the steep purchase price). Nissan Leaf has a whole page of how to get the most life out of these batteries (ever have your cell battery fade out on you - yeah, same thing). The Chevy is being released in CA, TX, MN, NJ, CT, NY, DC initially (how convenient - mostly tree-hugger states...TX has me baffled). One way to keep your Li-Ion Battery in longer life position is to "Park/store in moderate temperatures". Hmm. What about summer and winter?

Then, there is this whole "And the Government will 'Pay YOU' to buy the car" thing. >:/ - Really? Yep. Until the end of 2010, up to $50,000 tax credit (30% value). There is a $7500 tax credit after going on simultaneously. RUSH later gives his frustration of this - "have I ever been paid to buy Apple products?" If you have to be paid to buy it, there is something wrong. Further, why do MY taxes go to pay for YOUR stupid car choice?? YOU most certainly haven't helped ME pay off my four year loan on my Suburban!!

Couple thoughts:
* Will speed limits be dropped to accommodate/reinforce the efficiency of electric vehicles? To further prod potential buyers into the market?
* Would an ele-car pull a camper/trailer?
* Where is the money coming from to rebate/tax incentive these vehicles?
* Why not buy a KIA for more mpg and less overhead costs?
* What to do with the large Li-Ion Batteries as they expire?
* Why should other Americans pay for your car - even if it is stupid...I mean smart?
* Which should one expect to get more miles: a whimpy Smart Car with donut wheels, puny tank, zero crumple protection... OR.... an SUV? DUH....

Point is, I am all for new energy ideas. Just don't force me to get one or pay people to buy one. It takes a long time at 40miles of zero emissions per charge to recoup the $40,000 expense of a small "evo-friendly car." Additionally, you have that $4,000 potential cost to rewire your house. Finally, there is the cost of the electricity....which likely comes from a fossil fuel plant. I just don't see the logic yet...maybe one day. I can achieve essentially the same thing evo-friendly contribution just buying a regular high mpg car - for that matter check out the new Mustang! Even it gets 31mpg...

Common Sense...we must use it.

Judge Who?

Exactly.
If you have never considered judges and their power; today...you should.

Ok Federal Judge Vicki Miles-LeGrange hefts her 15 minutes of fame after a "two-hour hearing" yesterday and extends the ban on OK State Question 755. If this already fires you up, call her offices daily: 405-609-5400

This is why, folks, that it is important who is put in office and appoints judges. Why we should be more thoughtful on who the judges are and their philosophies. (added later: Earlier today I read that outgoing Governor Henry could appoint Jerry Askins to a judgeship opening! Really, I don't think that is what we wish to see happen!)

I cannot imagine what even Ronald Reagan would think of this....much less Kennedy, Lincoln, Roosevelt, and our Founders. This would not be considered as a thought much less a State Question!

We must voice our displeasure! Not just once, but daily! Call her office now: 405-609-5400. Why? Muneer Awad, Executive Director of the OK chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, is not giving up; and CAIR is certainly not going to walk away! There is money behind him.

If one man, Mr. Awad, can obstruct the Will of the People, then the 70% of OK who voted to simply protect our Heritage and Constitution, need to stand firm for what we voted! (405-609-5400) Whether or not you consider the Sharia Law issue on SQ755, if this ban kills the amendment, then ANY religious belief, philosophy or dreamed up reason to avoid the law may be used to obstruct justice. While Sharia and International Law were highlighted in the question, there are numerous other "laws" or cultural issues that would have to be recognized.

So, this is bad judicial review and decision tracking. Here is Judge Miles number - please call. Even if you are out of state! Flood the lines. Call daily! Give them your name and stand for America and Her Constitution.

U.S. Courthouse

Rm 3301 (Third Floor), Courtroom 301 (Third Floor)
Chambers Telephone:

Chambers Fax:

Further, AP reports that Judge Miles had to ask TWICE what the purpose of the state question was! Are you kidding me?

The Constitution is clear. It needs no outside help...detrimental or otherwise.

You Think Education is Tough...Try Being Stupid

Just try reading this without laughing till you cry - better yet, try reading out loud to a friend!!!

Then, consider the title again...many of our posts are serious and in frustration with the political elites. We post our posts in hopes of generating or passing on intelligence that in turn generates more research and those we do not know have lights come on upstairs. But, today, here is a post for laughs...serious, belly ache laughs, with tears! Happy Shopping!

Pocket Tazer Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife.
A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Tazer for their anniversary submitted this recount of his "thought process":

Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized Tazer.

The effects of the Tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety...??

WAY TOO COOL! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home... I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button and pressed it against a metal surface at the same time, I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs. AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.

Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two AAA batteries, right?

There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and then thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised.

Am I wrong?

So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and Tazer in another.

The directions said that:
1). A one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant;

2). A two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control;

3). A three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water.

Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.

All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference (loaded with two itsy, bitsy AAA batteries); pretty cute really, and thinking to myself, 'no possible way!'

What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best.

I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side so as to say, 'Don't do it stupid,' reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny lil ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad.. I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it.

I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and...

HOLY MOSES. WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. WHAT THE... !!!

I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs! The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room.

Note:
If you ever feel compelled to 'mug' yourself with a Tazer,
one note of caution:

There is NO such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor! A three second burst would be considered maniacally demented!

A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape:

* My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace.

* The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was.

* My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching.

* My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs.

* I had no control over the drooling.

* Apparently I had crapped in my shorts, but was too numb to know for sure, and my sense of smell was gone.

* I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head, which I believe came from my hair.

* I'm still looking for my testicles and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!

PS: My wife can't stop laughing about my experience, loved the gift and now regularly threatens me with it!

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Ok...so...care to comment on similarities in today's political climate? I think this could really be interesting for topic. (If you are reading on Facebook, please go to our blog and sign on to reply - that way everyone can see the comments: http://church-andstate.blogspot.com/ )

Soros...the Puppet Master

Seriously. Regardless of your opionion and taste for Glenn Beck, you must intellectually (track the research) watch these videos from tonight's episode of the GB Show! Favorite line from part 1: "You think the Democrats are still democrats...they're not." Struck by the awesome power this one man has...

PART 1:

PART 2: "Collapse of Regimes for a Global Society"

PART 3: "Roadblock: United States"

Scared? Aghast? Incredulous? Amazed? Yep. Me too. The Power of One.

FRUSTATION...CHALLENGE...

One person.

That's it. Just one. Grant you he is backed by a very powerful and very agendized organization, but just one voice and the American system grinds to a halt.

On Nov. 2, 2010, Americans in Oklahoma voted as they should have - NO! It was a near 70% vote for NO! The State Questions was whether International law or Sharia Law could be used in the decisions of the court along with Constitutional law. Well....heck no! Seriously, nothing else should be used - nothing! Period. End of Question!

However, this guy, exercising his rights as an "American," said that this law violates his First Amendment rights because it singles out his religion. Give me a break! I am Baptist - want me to push my Constitutional objections on you???

Give me a break. This is America - if you don't like it GO HOME! Dab Gummit - I am sick of loosing MY RIGHTS to you "one voicers" that get out there and take advantage of our system while I simply live, work and enjoy the system! We lost prayer in school, spiritual displays in public areas, abortion legalized.....ALL BECAUSE OF ONE OF YOU!

I am loosing my tax money because of the many "ONES" that abuse our tax system and are trying to push Amnesty through for illegals! NO!

I am loosing my "right" to money taken from my income supposedly for my elder years! But because of a few "ONE'S" Policies...likely won't be there!

The American President - ONE person, just got bumped to the 2nd Most Powerful Person in the World by Forbes Magazine. Who is now #1? Hu Jintao of CHINA! It is, I believe, because of his lack of experience and his cowtailing!

Well this is ONE person tired of it! This has got to stop! AMERICA IS BETTER THAN THIS!

STATE QUESTIONS: PART 2

Did you do some homework on Sharia Law? This is huge – pretty much under the radar too! But ask New Jersey what they would do if they had the chance!

State Question 755 – Prohibits courts from using International or Sharia Law to decide cases

The Daily Oklahoman actually states that we should vote against this question. THAT IS CRAZY! LUDICROUS! Take Sharia out of the equation – would you want the law of This Land to be subject to other laws from other countries? Or, even the International Law, of governing lands – say the United Nations? Put Sharia Law, which is Islamic Law, back in the equation. Under this law a husband can demand sex (ie. Rape) of his wife, even abuse her if needed. This is terrible law!

1). Belittles and ignores women and their human rights – where is NOW on this question??

2). It is opening our courts to another faith, nationality and culture. All sorts of bad can come from that!

3). What would stop someone from "becoming Islamic in faith and practice" just to take advantage of women?

4). How might other religions and national beliefs follow suit and insist their "ways" be protected.

Anybody say "Anarchy" warning?!?

Shame on you Daily Oklahoman! How many will take your paper to the voting booth and vote the wrong way? THIS IS TERRIBLE.

A "YES" VOTE IS THE ONLY WAY TO VOTE. VOTE YES!!

State Question 754 – Appropriations

Not totally sure on this one, but one thing I don't like: Last line of the question: "Cannot be repealed or amended." That does not sound good for the future, when it comes to how the Constitution of OK directs using money or appropriations. When you are talking about English as the standard, expected, supported language – I like and would support a permanent Constitutional change.

Evidently, this was to also address SQ 744. Thus, NO is the vote here.

NO on SQ 744 and 754.

The remaining questions:

747 – Term Limits Essentially – Yes

748 – New Commission on redistricting after census – Yes

750 – Required signatures on Petitions – Yes

752 – Vacant Judicial Seats – Yes

756 - Health Care - One cannot be required to participate in Obama plan - Yes

757 – Increase money into special fund – from 10% up to 15% - No

Concerning Insurance Commissioner – I am voting to keep Kim Holland. In the insurance realm, she has attained a status that will allow OK to put forth leadership and she has work hard to fight aspects of fraud and abuse. It is a tougher vote for me, as she is on the democratic ticket. However, the Republican opponent would come into the insurance offices a newbie and have less influence at a critical time.

(Majority of the following is counsel from a wise leader):

Concerning Congressional Offices - We will elect one U.S. Senator and the clear choice is Dr. Tom Coburn. We will elect all 5 U.S. Congressmen. The only U.S. Congressman who is not truly anti-abortion, anti-big government or anti-tax is Democrat Dan Boren from the large eastern Oklahoma district. Boren also voted for the bailout and the University bailout. He may be against Obamacare, but he slides other large spending votes under the radar. I consider him to simply be stuck: We Okies don't want Obama's agenda or heavy burden – he knows it and can't act against the constituents on big ticket items. He is career and needs to go.

We have clear cut choices in the other four Congressional races. In each case the Republicans are the best choice and in District 5, one should definitely vote for James Lankford. Please check your district and consider your vote wisely.

Concerning the Judicial Retention – I am voting NO on all six judges. If Oklahomans vote to elect a Republican governor to go with a Republican controlled legislature and State Question 752 passes, we have the real possibility of making much needed judicial reform.

LINK TO STATE QUESTIONS (BALLOT FORMAT): Here - print and take it with you!

SOME STATE QUESTION THOUGHTS

Ok – as promised here we go:

State Question 751 – English as declared language for OK

Duh. Really? Should there be any discussion? No. But for you bleeding hearts out there – this is NOT about shutting someone up or making them feel less of a citizen, guest or temporary in our State! DUH! Put your brain on! Has France given up French…Italy, Italian…Africa, various….China, Chinese? DUH!

We need this in OK and OK can help pave the way for this to be voted on nationally. I was in the OK Ins. Comm. Offices yesterday – our government offices – and they posted the "Right to Work" flyer in English and Spanish!

Really! Come on! It should be in English only. …just think, could you imagine multitudes of flyers in all the languages in our country? It is an expense our government needs to avoid!

VOTE YES ON 751!

State Question 744 – THE BIG ONE – VOTE NO!

Like taxes? Prefer unabashed money use? There is no oversight. It is taking our children, using them as icons for getting money out of yours and my pocket! That's it! It will seriously cripple our weak budget in the process, requiring millions in spending.

Let me just say this: we are top heavy on the administration side of our education system in OK. I tried to find my source, but in my limited time this morning, it did not pop up. But from memory, we have districts with several admins/supers that could consolidate and throw the savings to the students; schools with too many principles, etc.

This brings us to Janet Barresi. If she can go throw the birthing process of a charter school, gain accreditation, keep students, attract & pay qualified teachers and run on a budget provided through supporters…she can lead our education system to where is more budget conscience. She appears to be the one that would slim the expenses, especially the unnecessary, and more our state up in the line-up. However, consider demographics & population in figuring our per capita spending. Read her bio – I don't care what you think, that is impressive!

State Question 746 – Show an ID when you Vote

DUH! It amazes me every time I vote and do not have to give an account of who I am! I could come in and glance at the list and say I am Matthew Boheny and VOTE! Really? I even asked to show my ID one day – "No, that is not necessary." How do you know I am who I am? "We trust you."

No. This is too valuable a "RIGHT" to let allow today's corrupt opportunities an easy foothold.

This is a no brainer. VOTE YES!
MORE LATER - THANKS! While you wait ask yourself: "Should my United States Court System, decide cases based on Sharia Law?"

TWEEK YOUR BRAIN - SERIOUSLY!

We are down to the wire.

I just got an email – no kiddin' – from Joe Biden. Well, I guess it is likely from a team writer and his name it is on it. Is he really still out there? Anyway, the Democrats are scampering. Even heard how democrats are apologizing and falling all over themselves to put distance between them and Obama's team. So, I believe there can be restoration out there. But let's not look at just what we can do. Let's seek what God can do through this election!

Let's not take this lightly. Read II Chronicles 7:14 – "14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." We really need this to happen. We sincerely need God to hear us.

I am reading the book "Radical" by David Platt. The idea that the church of Christ was built on prayer and meager men; afraid of authorities, yet filled with the Spirit through their prayer; enabling them to be bold, strong and wise…blows me away. I have always known that, but reading it again, it clicked. It is not about us. It is about God.

So, we seek Him...humiliate ourselves before Him and offer up our forgiveness.

Then, we pray for wisdom. A wise man of God, very in-tune with these elections, passed the following scriptures to me. Read in full these passages: Exodus 18:13-26; Deuteronomy 1:9-18.

Here is Exodus 18:20-21:

20 Teach them the decrees and laws, and show them the way to live and the duties they are to perform. 21 But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

When you sit/stand before your ballot with your list of state questions and candidates, it is not just a box. It is not – NOT – just a party, club or color…no you are voting the future!

It is time we back away from the donkeys and elephants and notice all the people behind them!

America is not – NOT – what it is becoming! But "when good people do nothing…" or worse, when good people mindlessly and robotically vote….SHAME ON US! SHAME!

IT IS NOT ABOUT SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!! Never did God ever intend for this to be the case! No. Throughout scripture we are to pray for our leadership, our leadership is to seek the Lord and we are to uplift them no matter – but when they defile the position of leadership we are not to support them. Who cares what card you carry! Your allegiance is God alone.

So, hopefully, over the last two years you have been awakened! Hopefully, you have the scales pried from your eyes! Hopefully, you have sense about your person and you are going to go to the voting booth with wisdom from God, common sense from conversation and a foundation of the Constitution directing how to vote.

The next posts will include some of our thoughts here at Church-andState.blogspot.com regarding the state questions and candidates.

UNTIL THEN….THINK, DAWG GONE IT!

ENEMIES UNITE!

ALRIGHT!
I've just about had it! Really, the President of THE United States of America gets on Univision and slams me personally? Oh, he did not use my name...nor yours for that matter...but he used very inciteful language to take a last ditch effort to "mobilize" his support base. Here is his quote:

"If Latinos (AKA - Mexicans, Spanish Americans, Illegals, Spanish Citizens) sit out the election instead of saying, "We're going to punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us," if they don't see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it's going to be harder, and that's why I think it's so important that people focus on voting on November 2."

Maybe, you say, I am just reading into things. But you know, I am tired of him being excused! Seriously! He bows before other leaders! He is weak on foreign policy & relations. And...let us not forget the botched, failed and otherwise hideous bailout attempts, stimulus smack-down and ensuing debt! Oh, and never mind his wife's clear disregard for laws when she voted last week!

So, no, I believe the Presidential Pressure Cooker is taking it's toll on an inexperienced community organizer and the sweat is more pronounced than ever. He said what he meant and what many "right wingers" warned against in his running. This guy is not to be trusted. Black, white, purple or polka-dot ... it matters not, Obama has disgraced the Office of Presidency in a way totally impeachable! However....

In the above quote, he is baiting those that would have America offer amnesty to illegal persons. Then, even worse, he is stepping on the lives of Spanish Americas (AKA: AMERICANS) that have come to this land as my ancestors did, worked hard and became citizens legally! Or like those countless stories of the long citizenship process, hard fought, sought and won - bringing sighs of relief from those seeking the liberty of America! Do we step on these and grant citizenship to every illegal person? No!

Go Arizona! Wave the banner of Liberty, stand tall! God Bless you citizens that fought hard to be a part of the American Family - resist this call for amnesty! If interested in this, read this article.

November 2, 2010. Next Tuesday. I hope people read this from all over. We need everyone to vote the career politician out and bring in new statesmen/women to lead. We need to accomplish the following:
1). Agree that English is the native language of America, celebrate America and throw PC language out the door! (Every other country does this!)
2). Strengthen our borders and enforce/streamline the citizenship process; give border guards support and decision ability
3). Stop spending, cut waste
4). Minimize Government (put a leash on EPA, Red-line the IRS, and put education back in the hand of states.)
5). Incentivize American Business investment - making factories, warehouses, production facilities and goods from America, made in America, the absolute best. This includes putting out the Unions.
6). Eliminate Debt as quickly as possible

This in no way means allow hatred, environmental waste, tax programs or rebates to run amuk. NO! We Americans love each other as a whole - regardless of color, race, creed, status, religion, etc. It is the behavior of some that require punishment or disregard. Common sense laws are needed. True leadership is needed too!

WAKE UP AND STAY AWAKE!

Ben Stein, we all know and love for his role as a teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, is also a great conservative thinker and challenger of thought. Due to the fact that this is a widely spread email, I will not re-post it here. However, that which is most correct to the transcript of the CBS Sunday Morning Show that it originated in 2005 is accessible via this link, which includes actual interpretation of the email chain: here.

Consider the link above....and then, just for thought:

Bottom line: The statement about America being atheist - totally thoughtful. However, in the spirit of the true context of his writing, I would think that Ben Stein might say "Where is it that America is supposed to be totally accepting and non-individualistic? Is it not what the Pilgrims and Founders of America landed here to become? Did they not want Liberty for all?"

Seems to me, we wear are feelings and personal preferences on our sleeves. We have a true ROOT to who we are - totally traceable in unrevised history. From that Federalist Root, our Republic was born. Why is it that Texas gets this?

Freedom Of Speech Is A Two-Way Street

Mississippi Attorney Danny Lampley was jailed for five hours this week because he refused to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the order of a judge. Lampley had shown up to court to represent his client in a divorce case when Judge Talmadge Littlejohn entered the courtroom and asked everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Clinging to his First Amendment rights, Lampley refused to participate and was held in contempt.

The ironic thing is that Lampley successfully sued the Pontotoc school district in northern Mississippi in the 1990s to stop students from exercising their First Amendment rights by preventing them from praying over the intercom.

It has long been misunderstood that freedom of speech is a right given only to those who oppose organized religion or the patriotism of Americans in singing the National Anthem or reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Its about time they begin to learn that the First Amendment is a two way street.

Irresponsibility Of Congress Showcased In Budget Failure

Two things are clearly evident about our government’s current leadership in our democratic congress. 1) They have no accountability and they know it. 2) They are completely irresponsible when it comes to spending money.

We need to look back no further than last week to find the most telling examples of this. Anxious to break camp and get back home to campaign for next month’s elections. Congress decided adjourn with two major items left on the table. With millions of Americans hurting from the current economic recession and democrats fighting to hang on in key elections around the nation they left what was quite possibly the best campaign tool in unresolved in Washington D.C. Instead they’re choosing to run in the elections without being able tell Americans what their tax rates will be next year.

Even more pressing, Congress dismissed without approving a budget for the government year that began last Friday. Instead they chose to pass a "continuing resolution," a stopgap measure to keep the government in operating funds for the next two months and avoid a pre-election federal shutdown. Basically the U.S. government is going to spend over the next two months with absolutely no budget. And we wonder why the nation’s debt is out of control.

Thirty-nine democrats joined the Republicans in a push to get a vote on extending the Bush tax cuts which nearly deadlocked the motion to adjourn but Nancy Pelosi cast the tie breaking vote allowing congress to leave the matter unresolved and head home. Instead we were given a promise from Pelosi that the tax cuts would be addressed after the elections. Basically they’re giving us the vote us back in and we’ll take care of ya line. Count me in as a guy who isn’t buying into it!

How about next month we bring some accountability to congress with our votes by showing that irresponsibility will no longer be tolerated!

Archeology Once Again Validates The Bible

It never ceases to amaze me how much people will go out of their way to attempt to discredit the Bible but each time their philosophies, hypothesis or theories fail it gets little or no publicity compared to their initial accusations. Better yet, when archeological discoveries validate the Bible it’s often treated as some sort of newly attained knowledge and the fact that the same information has been recorded in the Scriptures for thousands of years is just coincidence.

Here’s an example. Archeologists in Israel have uncovered the ruins of a Philistine temple in the ancient city of Gath. The temple dates back to the 10th century B.C. and has brought validation to many of the stories recorded in the Old Testament.

The Bible records the Philistines as the enemies of Israel and even mentions the City of Gath as the home of Goliath (the giant whom David struck down). This dig shows that the philistine temple had two main support pillars. We didn’t need archeology to reveal this to us though if we were to simply read the Bible. Judges 16:29 gives us a layout of a Philistine temple and records the two central pillars.
Judges 16:29 29 Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other,
That’s not all this dig has shown us though. The team has also uncovered evidence of a major earthquake that struck the area in the 8th century B.C. Again this event was recorded in the Bible in Amos chapter 1.
Amos 1 1 The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa—the vision he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.
These are both discoveries that have been unearthed just this summer but they aren’t the end of the Biblical evidence to be found in Gath. On other thing that was unearthed this summer was the evidence of the destruction left behind when King Hazael attacked the city in 830 B.C. Again we have this event recorded for us in the Old Testament in the book of II Kings.
2 Kings 12 17 About this time Hazael king of Aram went up and attacked Gath and captured it. Then he turned to attack Jerusalem.
We currently live in a culture of people who are desperately seeking truth. We want something to believe in! We’ve learned the hard way that we can’t believe in our government, some of us have discovered that we can’t believe in our friends or family and we’re seeking something that withstands the scrutiny and testing of life. The answer is the Bible. It is so much more than the book of fairy tales your atheist friend would have you believe it to be. It records God’s design and desire for His creation. It records the path to contentment in life and the consequences for not following that path. It provides hope, peace and joy to those who study and believe in it. Finally, it provides truth. We are consistently being told that God is not real and the Bible is a lie. However, these same people wouldn’t want you to see articles like this one because they don’t want to have to explain how archeological discoveries support a, “book of lies.”

Yet Another Video Of A Democratic Congressman Lashing Out Against Accountability

You know, I have four kids. At various stages of their lives I've seen them throw temper tantrums. Almost every one of them has been based on one principle. They wanted something that they couldn't have and I, as the father/authority figure held them accountable to their actions in trying to obtain something they couldn't have. Turns out, in their moment of meltdown they looked a lot like Mr. Ciro Rodriguez here.

Rodriguez was apart of the Democratic Party that ramrodded the health care bill through congress despite the majority of the American voting public being opposed to it. Now as they are facing the public, falling in the polls and losing re-election bids the meltdown is in full bloom.

We really shouldn't be surprised with the attitude and approach the Democrats are taking towards constituents who questioned them. They didn't listen to us before passing the health care bill, they're not going to listen now. The difference is that now they've become bitter against the American public that is rejecting them and holding them accountable to the web of lies they've spun.

Which Side Of The Fence Are You On?

This was sent to me as an email and I thought it was good enough to post. Enjoy!

If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!

If a Conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a Liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat..
If a Liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a Conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.

A Liberal wonders who is going to take care of him

If a Conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a Conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A Liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a Conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.

A Liberal will delete it because he/she is "offended".
Amen!

Which Political Party Is Out Of Touch? Words Vs. Actions

Obama says the attitude of Pete Stark and the Democrats is in tune with the everyday needs of the American people while the Republicans are clueless.

Speaking in Racine, Wisconsin President Obama said on Wednesday that the Republican party is out of touch with the daily needs of Americans. The question now is how many people are going to believe the validity of his statements because the American people could build a strong case against Obama as being a president of "lip service."

Ask the people on the Gulf Coast if they believe that President Obama and the Democratic Party are in touch with the daily needs of Americans. Ask Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal if the Democratic Party is in touch with the needs of the people from his state.

Governor Jindal said, “We’re glad the Vice President visited Louisiana today. Just as when the President comes into town, we see the pace of federal activity increase. The overarching message that I told the Vice President today is that the federal government needs to increase their sense of urgency. They need to treat this spill like a war and get in it to win it. We’re here to defend our way of life.

“We’re asking the federal government to cut through the red tape and bureaucracy. It’s time for them to lead or get out of the way. The federal government should stop interfering in our work to stop the oil. Over and over again, the federal government has stopped and stalled our efforts to fight this oil off the coast.

“First, it was the sand-berms where it took the federal government weeks to approve the project and then after construction started, the federal government shut it down and left our coast vulnerable to the oil. The latest example is the rocks and barges plan off of Grand Isle. Jefferson Parish and Plaquemines Parish together with the towns of Grand Isle and Lafitte have been pushing for weeks to get approval for their plans to place boom, rocks, and barges in five of the western Barataria Bay passes. Their plan calls for narrowing the passes by up to 70 percent with rocks, rigid pipe boom or other measures, then placing barges with vacuum trucks and sorbent operations in the remaining gaps. We can fight this oil before it gets into our interior marshes with these plans – but they are still awaiting federal approval.

Ask Arizona Governor Jan Brewer if the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party are in touch with the needs of the people from her state?

"This is an outrage," Brewer says in the ad. "Washington says our border is as safe as it has ever been. Does this look safe to you?"

Brewer continues, "We will not surrender any part of Arizona. We need to stand up and demand action."

The governor says that "Washington is broken" and asks Mr. Obama to "do your job."

Ask the 55% of voting Americans who didn't want to see the health bill passed but had it rammed down their throats any if the Obama Administration and Democratic Party is in touch with their needs?
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on the first two nights after the president signed the bill, shows that 55% favor repealing the legislation. Forty-two percent (42%) oppose repeal. Those figures include 46% who Strongly Favor repeal and 35% who Strongly Oppose it.
In all of these cases you'll find the Republican Party trying to fight for the needs of the American people and the Democratic Party fighting for their agenda above all else. That's why in Louisiana you've got people out of work because of the oil spill and people out of work because of the government imposed drilling moratorium. That's why in Arizona the government is surrendering land to Mexico while telling you that the borders are secure. In the meantime we've got people like Rep. Pete Stark, Dem-California (video above) making a mockery of American citizens who voice legitimate concerns.

There are always going to be lessons to be learned in politics. However, the one lesson that President Obama and the Democratic Party still isn't getting is that actions will always speak louder than words. Obama was elected as President of the United States based off lip service. He'll witness the demise of the Democratic Congress this fall because all his leadership has provided in almost two years is the same lip service. We're watching what you're doing more than what you're saying and we don't like what we see.

President Obama's Response To Arizona's Immigration Problems

If this were a Saturday Night Live skit it would be funny but the fact that its real life is down right scary. While heavily criticizing Arizona's new immigration law (that only reinforces the federal law) and working on legislation to block it, President Obama met with Governor Jan Brewer (for approximately 30 minutes) to discuss the issue. Sticking to her guns and not buying into Obama's pitch to ditch the state law and, "be his partner" in a comprehensive overhaul of the nation's immigration system, Brewer asked for the president's support in securing the border. She was promised a response from the Obama Administration within a month.
"I said we need to have the fence completed, have more troops on the border and more resources" - Arizona Governor Jan Brewer
So how did our nation's president respond? You guessed it, without a spine. Instead of offering more support or trying to actually stop illegals from crossing the border the U.S. government actually posted signs warning Americans not to travel within 80 miles of the border.

How could that be the right response in anyone's opinion. Signs? Are you kidding me? What about the people, U.S. citizens mind you, that live within 80 miles of the border? It appears that our president just gave them away to Mexico by moving the border 80 miles to the north.

Ergun Caner No Longer Dean Of Theology At Liberty

This really saddens me because I have enjoyed listening to Ergun Caner for several years now. However, it shows the need for ministers (and all Christians for that matter) to be transparent in their testimonies. The Gospel message of Jesus Christ doesn't need embellishing. It is powerful enough to stand on its own and any changed life is a testament to the power of God. Caner knows this and no doubt regrets his mistakes.

Caner's tarnished reputation will hurt his ability to effectively communicate the Gospel for a while but remember, the Gospel is about forgiveness and changed lives. Even greater is the impact Caner's loss as the Dean of Theology will have at Liberty University.

Obama/McChrystal Saga Shows Differences In Priorities

President Obama fired on general and demoted another on Wednesday. After a Rolling Stone interview, in which Obama was criticized for not being prepared and intimidated in a strategy meeting, the president made the decision to relieve General McChrystal of command. In doing so he also demoted General David Petraeus from being McChrystal's boss to doing McChrystal's job.

For the record, I understand why General McChrystal said what he did but I also understand why he can't say it. Whether we like it or not President Obama is our Commander and Chief and regardless of how unprepared, unqualified and unprofessional he is when it comes to addressing the war, or anything else for that matter, any person who serves in the military under his command should refrain from speaking in such a manner. Unfortunately, I also agree that this is a decision that had to be made.

Now, what I disagree on is Obama's statement that this wasn't personal and was what is best for our national defense. Please, Mr. Obama, don't continue to believe that we the American people are stupid. This was totally personal because McChrystal exposed you for who you really are. Obama is a president who could care less about the war effort. In fact, that what led to the frustration behind McChrystal's comments. Obama balked on getting him support and very rarely gave him face time or any time for that matter. Its hard to win a war without the support of your president.

That brings me to my final, and initial, point. The difference between these two men is just a matter of priority. General McChrystal was trying to win a war but unfortunately for him he had to work for a president who was trying harder to form a public image of himself.

Judge Overrules Obama's Offshore Drilling Moratorium

It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out as the Obama Administration in now in a full fledged fight. For the first time since taking office a state has taken on Obama in the courts and appears to have an advantage, for now.
"An invalid agency decision to suspend drilling of wells in depths of over 500 feet simply cannot justify the immeasurable effect on the plaintiffs, the local economy, the Gulf region, and the critical present-day aspect of the availability of domestic energy in this country," Feldman wrote.
What will be crucial in this is how much the government tries to ignore the rights of the citizens of Louisiana and if the Constitution of the United States is upheld when it comes into play.

Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal

WHY WE NEED THE NEW SYSTEM!!!

I've never heard it put quite this way, but it sure makes sense.

JOE LEGAL vs. JOSE ILLEGAL

You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal ". Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California .

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Ready? Now pay attention...

Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00
per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.

Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or
$31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $24,031.00.

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $9,631.00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $ 31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Do you get it, now?

If you vote for or support any politician
that supports illegal aliens....

You are part of the problem!

It's WAY PAST time to take a stand for
America and Americans!
