Why Wasn't This On The News?

"Is it proper, ethical and legal for the White House to try to get a sitting member of Congress out of a race because they have other plans? I don't know. The White House has to answer the question." - Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele
No! No, it isn't proper, ethical or legal at all. In fact, its a felony. So now the question is, why do we have a White House offering bribes to congressional candidates to try and get them to drop out of a race and the national media doesn't cover it?
"I was offered a job. I answered that." - Joe Sestak
Of course the White House spin on this is that the Republicans are bringing this up in order to try and gain an advantage in the Pennsylvania congressional race. Last I checked, Joe Sestak was a Democrat and he's actually the one blowing the whistle.

We have a president who will allow a foreign president to stand on the front porch of the White House and bash to United States while actually nodding and smiling in agreement. That's an act of treason if you ask me! Now we also have a presidential administration that is offering bribes to candidates in order to advance their cause. How much more are we willing to take?

Health Care Reform Claims Another Senator's Career

A 41-year era is coming to an end in Washington D.C. Representative David Obey of Wisconsin, chairman of the Appropriations Committee, announced yesterday that he'll not seek re-election. Obey, 71, survived re-election bids through times of war, prosperity and turmoil from Nixon to Obama but apparently being the architect of the failed economic stimulus bill and a key leader in a party that ramrodded the health care bill down the throats of the American people is too much to overcome.

Despite having $1.4 million in his campaign fund, Obey says that its time to hang it up. This puts the Dems in a tough position as a Republican now takes over as chairman of the Appropriations Committee and with Obey trailing in the polls, and thus seeing the writing on the wall, another long term Democratic seat could be heading to the Republicans.

When Are We Going To Get It?

Ladies and gentlemen, our society is spiraling out of control. Why aren't we seeing it and why aren't we doing anything about it? If the polls are correct then the majority of Americans don't agree with what took place with health care nor do they agree with the government's stance on Immigration. However, the majority is being silenced by a very loud and vocal minority.

Last night, Los Suns defeated Los Spurs 110-102 to take a two game lead in the NBA's Western Conference semi-finals. Phoenix wanted to change the team name on their jerseys to show support for the Latinos in their community and take their stance in opposition to Arizona's new immigration law. The San Antonio Spurs wanted to join the Suns in the demonstration but fortunately weren't allowed. I find it ironic though that the Suns, who are in favor of not stopping the illegal alien problems the state of Arizona is facing, actually demanded that a person have a ticket to gain entry into the basketball game. You'd think that they'd bypass that process and just let anyone enter regardless of whether they went through the ticket purchasing process or not. For this one night they should have allowed people to sneak past the ticket taking attendants, through back doors, ally ways and windows to watch the game because they were on the floor to make a statement that they don't have a problem with that kind of behavior.

Then there was this little gem out of California yesterday. Five kids were sent home from school for wearing American flag t-shirts on a Mexican holiday. Yes, you did read that correctly. Last I checked, California was not a part of Mexico but rather the United States of America. However, on this one day of the year it appears as if the Live Oak High School administration is ashamed of the American flag. Check out this line from the linked article.

But to many Mexican-American students at Live Oak, this was a big deal. They say they were offended by the five boys and others for wearing American colors on a Mexican holiday.

"I think they should apologize cause it is a Mexican Heritage Day," Annicia Nunez, a Live Oak High student, said. "We don't deserve to be get disrespected like that. We wouldn't do that on Fourth of July."

Here's the deal my Mexican-American friend. No one would expect the 4th of July to be celebrated in Mexico and no U.S. citizen would, traveling or visiting south of the border, be offended for seeing the red, white and green flag. You know why? Because they aren't in the United States. Here's an idea. If you're that proud of your Mexican heritage that you'd be ready to fight for seeing a U.S. flag on Cinco de Mayo then go celebrate the holiday in Mexico! However, if you're going to live in the United States and enjoy our freedoms and liberties then have some respect for the flag that has waved all over the world to protect what you have.

Of course now I'm a racist for taking a stance for my country. Just like I'm a racist for speaking out against the policies of our current president. Forget the fact that I'm actually taking a stance for the principles that this great nation was founded on and just don't think that its too far out of the question to expect people to obey the law and respect the American flag. I'm being insensitive to a minority group and am therefore labeled by the same group of liberals that'll tell you labeling is wrong.

Fact is, I'm not a racist. I don't feel like I need to show you my credentials to prove it though. The problem with our society isn't in what I'm saying. Its in how it is received. Despite the facts of the situations, I'm the bad guy for speaking out against those who are illegally draining our economy, costing tax payers money and taking jobs during a recession as well as those who desecrate the flag that my grandfathers and father fought to defend. I don't think it makes me a racist. It makes me a proud American! When are we going to get it that the rights and freedoms of American citizens should come first in the United States of America.

How About We Become Good At Stopping Terrorists Rather Than Just Lucky

There's an old saying that goes, "It's better to be lucky than good." However, when it comes to stopping terrorism plots on American soil, I say let's be good and quit relying on luck. It was luck that saved lives when the when the Christmas Bomber caught his pants on fire and it was luck that saved lives in Times Square last weekend when Faisal Shahzad set the timer wrong on his bomb. We should be thankful that these potential tragedies have failed but we should also be extremely cautious. The problem with riding a streak of luck is that at some point its going to run out.

Of course the biggest farce in all of this is in the way our government has handled it. For some reason the Obama Administration has a major problem admitting that we're involved in a war with Islamic radical extremest. While his administration is putting navy seals on trial for being too rough on an Islamic radical who murdered American businessmen in Fallujah, not calling the Ft. Hood attack what it really was, working to shut down the Guantanamo Bay detention center, changing the military lingo to make it appear as if our enemies are not of Islam faith and mirandizing terrorists to give them the same rights as the American citizens they are targeting, another attempt to kill innocent civilians came too close for comfort to being carried out fully.

Its sad to me that the Democratic Party is so self-centered and so paranoid that their immediate reaction was to cast blame on those who oppose the Obama Administration. No one from the "left" wanted to admit that there was potential this could have been a foreign act of terrorism on American soil and when it turned out that, in fact, is what is was they're painfully admitting the terrorist we've been giving liberties too are still trying to kill us. Even at that, we're being told that Shahzad was an American citizen who has a family and faced financial hardships that over burdened him and pushed him to his breaking point. What the main stream media isn't reporting is that he's only been a citizen for a year, has strong ties to Pakistan (where his family lives) and paid for everything (SUV/Supplies/Plane Ticket) in cash. Why are we not willing to admit this was an act of terror against American citizens by an Extreme Islamic Radical.

Now everyone wants to take the credit for apprehending the non-terrorists, American citizen who is misunderstood and just needs a hug. Keeping up with new protocol, he's already had his Miranda rights read to him so now he has the right to remain silent while his buddies back in Pakistan are plotting the next attack. I would be very hesitant to thank the government for stopping this attack because in every since of the matter, just like the Christmas bomber, the government failed. In his own words Obama said this attempted attack fell apart because, "ordinary citizens were vigilant." Thank the people who had enough sense to call the authorities. Thank the firemen and police officers who arrived at the scene and literally defused the situation. Don't thank the government because they didn't do anything!

The government lost track of Shahzad who was on a plane, that had already pushed back from the jet way, heading back to Pakistan by the time they caught up with him. They only found him at the airport because the airline notified him that he'd purchased a last minute ticket and paid in cash. Authorities were only able to connect the Pakistan bound terrorist to the bomb when the previous owner of the Nissan Pathfinder used as a car bomb identified Shahzad from government watch list.

So if your connecting the dots here, the people trying to take credit for foiling this bombing attempt knew that Shahzad had entered the country in February from Pakistan. They had given him a secondary screening upon re-entry and then promptly lost him. They were lucky enough to catch him after the bombing attempt but just like the Christmas Bomber (who was also on a government watch list) they did absolutely nothing to prevent the actual attack from happening and are taking all the credit when they're actually just extremely lucky.

While Obama Administration Is Defending Illegal Aliens An Arizona Deputy Gets Shot By Drug Runners

While Janet Napolitano, Al Sharpton and President Obama are speaking out on behalf of the illegal aliens living in the state of Arizona an unfortunate reminder of why the state needed a new immigration law presented itself when Deputy Louie Puroll was shot with an AK-47 by suspected illegal aliens.

If you live in the state of Arizona you can count your own personal safety as something the Obama Administration values less than the rights of thousands of illegal immigrants. Forget your rights! Forget the rights of Deputy Puroll. Let's focus on protecting those who come into the country illegally. Who cares if they bring drugs, weapons or human trafficking with them. We value them more than we do our own citizens. Yeah, I know. Not every person who crosses the border brings all of that with them but you know what? They're still here illegally!

America is the land of opportunity! Yes, we welcome all nationalities and our nation is a smelting pot of culture. However, there is a process for gaining residence and even citizenship in our great nation and shame on those who stand for the rights of people who intentionally fail to follow that process.

Stop It!

“Stop it!” That’s a phrase that we usually reserve for someone who is bothering us. What about the things we do that bother God though? Our lives are full of habits and action that display weak faith and a tendency to stray away from God. His desire is for us to experience an abundant life that’s full of blessing and promise but we often sacrifice that life at the altar of habits and actions mentioned above.

Perhaps this is the type of living that Paul was referring to when he said in Romans 1:25 that they, “exchanged the truth of God for a lie.” Imagine how aggravated God gets when we mess up. Not aggravated at us in particular (although our sin does greatly displease him) but aggravated at the missed blessing and promise because we exchanged the truth of God’s desires towards us for something else that doesn’t measure up to His plan.

Why? Why are we, “prone to wonder” like the old hymn says? The truth is, we are human and as long as we are such we’ll be likely to sell Him out. The key to walking as a Christian is identifying these potential spiritual pitfalls and stopping the behaviors before they have the opportunity to pop up in our lives. To do this, we must be completely in tune to the Holy Spirit to that, through, Him we can hear the voice of God leading us to the promised abundance. It’s at that moment that, when we face our weaknesses and temptations, we’ll hear the voice of God screaming to us to, stop it!

Obama Health Bill Will Raise Health Cost By Nearly A Trillion And Guess Who Gets To Pay For It

Here's a shocker! The health care that Obama has forced upon American was supposed to lower cost and save money. At least that's what we were told as one of their, "selling points." An overwhelming majority of Americans opposed the health care reform over fear that it would raise taxes and health care costs and that it was unconstitutional. Those who stood in opposition were demonized by the Obama administration and were called everything from "racists" to "Nazi."

I'm really not one to get into name calling but I've got to call a spade a spade here and go with "bully" and "liar" when it comes to this administration. Standing in defiance to the voice of American Obama essentially told us that we didn't know what was good for us and he did. Bribes were made and votes were bought to push the bill through and the thing is, none of it was done under the table. It was all done in plain view of America with a, "What are you going to do about it? That's right, nothing!" attitude by our President. That action evokes the word, "bully."

Then we were told that this bill was a good thing because it would lower health cost and and save money. Bet you didn't know this but there actually isn't a provision in this bill to regulate insurance companies and lower premium costs. I thought that was the whole point of the reform!

Now its found out that this reform won't actually save anyone any money. In fact, its going to raise the current health care cost by almost a trillion dollars at a minimum. So how's it going to get paid for? By raising your taxes! Now we can use the word, "liar."

None of this is a surprise to President Obama or his administration. It has been in their plan since the beginning. The question is, why? Why is he bent on destroying the economy? Please, please to throw out the, "doing the best he can with what he inherited line." That isn't true and it never was. Unemployment has been on a steady rise since Obama took office and the economy has bottomed out. On top of that, the budget defense has been cut and America's vulnerability is at the highest its been sine pre-9/11.

Not believing, or just not caring, that the Republicans are going to take Congress this fall, Obama is pushing the issue. Smugly he says that Americans, "should be thanking him" but for exactly what we're still unsure. Can anyone really make a legitimate case for a reason to be thankful for Obama? If you're attempting to come up with a case here then there's something you really should know. Obama is working, right now, on a tax plan to pay for the health care bill. Yep, I'm actually telling you that you're free health care is in fact not free.

One of Obama's consideration is a VAT tax, which taxes the value that is added at each stage of production of certain commodities. It could apply, for instance, to raw products delivered to a mill, the mill's production work and so on up the line to the retailer.
When asked if he could see a potential VAT in this nation, the president said: "I know that there's been a lot of talk around town lately about the value-added tax. That is something that has worked for some countries. It's something that would be novel for the United States." - Source
Be warned, America. Higher taxes are coming and there's no way around it. To deny such is just ignorance. Of course Obama said that before he makes any decision as to which way he's going to tax Americans he wants to cut wasteful spending. Maybe he should start by looking at his health care bill.
