Wisconsin...a very costly three weeks.
Well, here goes it all...in our sound bite and word driven media war, with the goal to influence public opinion and future voting booths, it is difficult to understand what has just gone down. Last night the Republican controlled senate voted without their Democrat peers. One lone Republican voted against the measures. But the budget of Wisconsin may now get back to repairing and fixing itself. Maybe.
But follow me on something that you have not heard anywhere - at least, I don't recall hearing it. Mind you this is simply math and not exact. It is just to prove a point and is the result of about 10 minutes of work.
Here's the deal: For three weeks the Democrats did not come to work. Let's say that they each earn $50,000 plus benefits (probably more as this report is two years old). As a side note they receive on average, depending on temporary residence $66/day per diem, travel expenses, office expenses, health care (equal to state employee) and retirement benefits (with 2.6% employee/8.1% employer contribution as of 2005). That quickly works out to $4166.66 per month, plus extras.
The Democrats have been out of work and vacationing in Illinois for three weeks. That equates to $12,500 in salary for each member. A Per Diem of $66/day would equal $1386 per member. Office expense is $3-10K per member, based on district size as of 2009. Travel expenses might be up to $3,000 per month, depending on district. Let's just focus on the salary, per diem and retirement (8.1% 2005 report), which is about $1012.5 per member for a three week period based on $50K yearly salary in simple 12 month division.
So, for three weeks the basic salary and health care cost of these AWOL elected professionals is $208,579.
Each day they are out of the office living it up in Illinios, they cost the state of WI $9932.33.
This does not include the cost of the many teachers who have walked out for any given number of days. Where this is complicated is "how many are bussed in from even other states?" So, this is hard to add to the scenario...but is no less present and a strain on the state budget. Further, at who's cost are those bussed in persons?
How many of you can walk off your job for three weeks - in essence stating "I don't agree with you Mr. Employer, so I'm out of here...but, you can't fire me. I'll be back sometime."?? Or, feel comfortable calling in six, yet showing up on the 6 o'clock news?
It was WAY passed the time to act legistlatively. Three cheers for the Republicans! Click that hyper link and you will find plenty of very research documentations!
PS. If the budget shortfall is 1.37 million, then the real cost of all the state legistlator and teachers being AWOL for three weeks would (likely/nearly) account for the .37 million easily. FURTHER....can one not argue that the salaries of the Republicans, staff, and Governor may at least partially be applied to this "shut down" of the WI budget? At that point, these three weeks have been very costly!
Now...how is this factoring in nationally?

"Hate You!" = No Guns? =Speech Police?
Huffington Post: "On Saturday Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik called Arizona "the Mecca for prejudice and bigotry." Today the sheriff continued on the same theme:
"I think that when the rhetoric about hatred, about mistrust of government, about paranoia of how government operates and to try to inflame the public on a daily basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, has impact on people especially who are unbalanced personalities to begin with."
He also called his state "the tombstone of the United States of America."
REPORTER: What are your observations about the state of Arizona gun laws in light of what happened?
DUPNIK: Well, I think we're the tombstone of the United States of America.... I have never been a proponent of letting everybody in this state carry weapons under any circumstances that they want, and that's almost where we are. "
This is just what we need...a dweeb on YouTube, overlooked....taking his rhetoric to the public in the form of guns and killing. I feel like I am chiming in late, but I wanted to see what would be said about these very tragic shootings. An attack on the 2nd Amendment is not what is needed as a result of this weekend; nor the First Amendment. We certainly do not need the Fairness Act!
The above snippet from the HP is what I feared. As I glean and understand, the shooter was a leftist, Marxist leaning individual with some weird ideas...though they are not out of reach. America is disintegrating into a socialist nation. People like Jared Lee Loughner incite this terrible stuff. This boy shot people that are totally opposite from what he stated he read and thus believed.
Why is this being directed to the Tea Party? The Tea Party is for small government not anti-government. The Tea Party is for a strong Dollar not new currency. The Tea Party is for Liberty and the American ideals that have roots back to the Magna Carta and the Biblical appeal for equality among mankind. The Tea Party is for self-government, responsibility and work ethic...not anarchy and shooting someone.
Do not be fooled. Know your history. My daughter is reading about the American Revolution - we fought against Great Britain and many of the oppressions that we are beginning to see today. If our elected officials would act on behalf of the American Peoples' desires....I doubt the shooting would have happened. Further, if we believed what the Colonists believed and fought to save in the American Revolution, then we would be a much stronger unified country.
We need solid, Constitutionally conservative, Christian, morally based, principle approach persons making tough, unpopular, serious, non-poll based decisions. If this would happen, English would be the official language, immigration would be controlled correctly, deficits would be addressed, the budget would be put into check, the President would not implement a budget with over 3 Trillion in spending, our national security would be solid, military stronger, education more superior to any country, and .... our political and economic status would not be such that these shootings would have happened.
That is the plain truth.

THE LORD IS WISE, LISTEN!
Who is this Lord? Obvisously, a play on words - but wisdom does come from The Lord. Anyway, google him and you will find out that he has been active in gov for a while. Further, he has a education that backs his credibility up. Not to mention his accent - and how he reveres American soil....but I digress.
The Sierra Club and other environmentally friendly groups are a disease of gigantic proportions - making the Swine Flu look petty! Gore and his gaff of global warming farcists are trying to take down the civilized world. Lord Monckton hits hard in retaliation. Watch this video and if you can still see straight ... read on!
If you search transcript of a speech give in March of this year. I have read this and am amazed at the common sense backed by science and hard facts. As pointed out by my esteemed co-author of this blog, Gore cannot defend his very writings!
Friends, what we have here is Monckton's amazing amount of content that confronts the very fibers of the fraud, deceit and lies that we are being fed by mainstream, state-run media. Fact is, it is so very sad that media today is not covering the impeachable actions of our President. Side bar: If it were not for the fact that the Constitution defines treason in a limited fashion, I would call Obama's actions and those running the country with him as TREASONOUS! People were convicted for treason for less in our history. During the Cold War there were many that aided the enemy ... Personally, we are in a War on Terror that has not ended since 9/11 officially. Personally, Obama has defamed and slandered America in is worldwide tours... but back to the topic...

The treaty being spoken of by Monckton is the Global Climate Change Treaty and is being written and touted throughout the world. Obviously, like the blood sucking "victim" and entitlement segment of American society, the Third World Nations will obviously sign - they will be given our wealth - YOUR HARD EARN MONEY! Livid. That is the word that should come to mind! You should be livid! While we work, sleep, play, lounge and otherwise reap the reward of our work ethic, history and provisions as a Nation - Wolves in Sheep's clothing are licking their chops!
Anita Dunn's hero is Mao Tse Tung (and yes, I did link Glenn Beck - he is livid!) Imagine Bush saying this...and as if Mother Theresa, beside Mao, makes it all good? Yet even now, propaganda spins from the White House by their loving media are being brought about - and in this article they go at length to pummel FOX research and Beck, even publicizing Jones' new website to boycott Beck for calling Obama racist - the audacity! The American Spectator puts this in great perspective - read it.
Other Czar's are thoroughly researched by Glenn Beck and it is redundant to repeat his info - read it.
I have not written much in the last months. Why? As I have said, things have moved so quickly that I type and it is old news. I was aghast today when I heard this! But have you seen it on the local or nightly news? We have got to call our local affiliate news rooms and bug them until they start to report news. When I call, they say they get their feeds from the National Office. Then why are they working? Why the local reporters? They have got to change national - if we call, call and call more, they will have to begin reporting what we want.
This is one "IF YOU WANT TO" situations that you cannot afford to press "delete." Link this to your FB, Twitter and other social network sites. Use your little "thought box" on your FB page to promote grassroots change in America. Go to upcoming Tea Parties! November 4 is a date that many will be happening. Go to town halls. Support "No-name" grassroots people that want to run for office and stop the madness! Be heard. Press on!
But - it is important that we must act within the bounds of law and respect. THEY are taking any and every chance to discredit the actions of Americans simply wishing for their voices to be heard. We must take the high road. It is harder but it so important for us to be credible in our protests.

RACE CARD PLAYED AGAINST LIMBAUGH RAMS PURCHASE
I just learned that "two powerful" men, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson, are trying to persuade the NFL to barr Limbaugh and his partners from purchasing the ST. Louis Rams. Can you seriously believe this? Dolphinfan is more geared to write about this, but I could not avoid it...
It is my point to respectfully .... well, for lack of a better word ... disagree with them. I believe that racism exists because of individuals just like (and SPECIFICALLY like) Sharpton and Jackson. Without race issues they are without a platform.
Take this very instance of the Rams purchase: would they have anything to say or any grounds to speak if it were not for race? Further, would they have grounds to speak at any other time? If not for race these men and those like them would have nothing to promote. Let's just think about this - look at Detroit, think back to the demise of the first run with Health Care Bill, Obama's election, several of his Czars - race was tossed around as an attack on the Republican opposition efforts. The Tea Partiers are racist - or worse, Pelosi thinks they are Nazi's!
Race is being tossed around like a political football for everything - as if we have gone back in time! We may not have segregated fountains and busses, but the tension being stirred up from Sharpton, Obama, Pelosi, ACORN and others is making Main Street life increasingly difficult.
It is true that Rush has made comments that reflect his opinions on affirmative action and it's relation to sports and every day happenings, but truth often hurts. It is my "hope" that the NFL does not further their cause of racism by cow-tailing to the PC arguements. I sincerely hope they will stand against this attack and even promote the investors that Limbaugh is working with.

TEA PARTY SUCCESS?
PART 1:
It appears that the mainstream media is really in bed with Big Government - you have to check this out - a CNN reporter who clearly drank the koolaid and stutters away in "fear" of a man holding a baby.
I was in OKC today. While there were chants to vote out politicians who don't get it or "no more taxes" or a "booo" here and there; there was nothing, absolutely nothing violating "family viewing." In fact, many families were there together. Our media guessed at 4,000 in attendance....We flanked the Capital, both wings and all the way passed the street from the Steps. I'd say we approached 7,000. But we can agree happily between the two.

CHA-CHING, CHANG! HERE IT COMES!
CHA-CHING BACKGROUND: Not an iPhone app article - rather, I want to first thank a close friend for posting a link to the article that prompts this blog post. Or try this more concerning article (particularly the end of the article)! Or...this.
Cha-Ching, here we are on day 64 and trillion is a new 'normal' number for 'us' to just toss around. Tax evaders in our highest elected and appointed offices - bi-partisan-ly speaking! You and I would get the book thrown at us!
Now this: China is suggesting a new currency (cha-ching)...and is getting an ear! Do what?! Remember the good ole' days - bad guys were bad and good guys always won! Where has that day gone? The Lone Ranger really wasn't 'alone.' Superman's alter-ego was the common everyday guy. McGuyver and Magnum PI put everything back together and Mr. Rogers - he really was your neighbor. Remember, we had bomb drills - hide under the desk cause the Commies might toss a bomb our way someday? Wasn't Russia...Iron Curtain... behind the Chinese??
CHINA? Cha-Ching, are we serious? Can anyone say Tiananmen Square? Gigantic military force... Can you picture the man in front of the tank? What about Communist(ism) - does that ring an alarm in anyone's head? What about nuclear talks and scare? Oppression? Population Control or worse?
Over the last 25 years, we should have seen America sliding away - we should have taken measures to avoid 9/11 - avoid the drive to socialism and tolerance. Now, China, Korea, Middle East and other disenfranchised countries are becoming stronger and are seeking prominence in the world. Mexico is over-running our country. English has not been named our national language - as if it is wrong to have one (French, Italian, Chinese...these must be un-politically correct too?). Russia is listed high in the call for a super-currency at the upcoming Summit in April! Cha-Ching!
Mr. Obama and our leadership have gift wrapped our collective soul and handed it to them. Our dollar is crashing, we are in debt to our eyeballs (for what? pork concessions here and there - certainly hasn't been stimulus!).
China. Let me say it again...China. They have bought our companies, bought land, and now our debts. Cha-ching! They perch in the ready, just above our heads, anticipating the right time to dive full-long into our open, oozing and bleeding wounds. Their bulging beady eyes blood-red in desire for our total demise...without - lifting - the - sword. They have a stock-piled treasury and they are flexing that muscle...imagine, you may soon have a "yuan" in your pocket! Which by the way, .146cent/yuan is the current exchange...sad. Thank you Obama....keep nailing the coffin!
